Everett is the largest city in Snohomish County. It is located 15 miles north of Seattle, one and a half hours south of Vancouver BC, and a short ferry ride away from the San Juan Islands. Everett is ideally situated for exploring the entire Pacific Northwest. Everett has some of the most spectacularly beautiful scenery in the world. Mountains, rivers, lakes, and Puget Sound are magnificent sights. Bald eagles, seals, sea lions and other wildlife are indigenous to the Northwest. There are wonderful opportunities for outdoor activities. Boating, fishing, skiing, hiking and bicycling, are some of the popular outdoor activities. The economy is thriving thanks in large part to being the home of industry giant Boeing and numerous hi tech, and biotech companies. Microsoft has brought some of the smartest and brightest minds in the world to the area. The Seattle area and the Everett area are known for the best coffee available, as Seattle is the home of Starbucks and there are drive up window Starbucks stores. Privately owned drive up barista stands are located on almost every other block.
The climate is moderate. Not too cold and not too hot. There are lots of rainy cloudy days in the fall, winter and springtime. Some snow in the winter that doesn't hang around. New home construction is ongoing and the economy is thriving. There are many shopping malls in Snohomish County. Everett Mall and Alderwood Mall are always busy. You can find pretty much whatever you need for your new home or older home. There all styles of homes from Victorian to the Northwest Modern, and even some log homes. People are still moving into the area from other states. Local furniture stores and flooring stores cater to the many people that are moving into the area.
